Busey Woods Bird Walks
Fall 2010 birdwalks begin September 5

Bird walks are held on Sunday mornings during the spring and fall migration seasons: March-May & September-October. We meet at the Anita Purves Nature Center parking lot, 1505 N. Broadway, Urbana, at 7:30 AM. Walks in the nearby Busey Woods and Crystal Lake Park usually last about 1 1/2 hours. Anyone is welcome!

Comg Soon: See a count summary for the bird walks this season, as reported by Beth Chato.

See Greg Lambeth's Oct 1, 2009 presentation about the birds of Crystal Lake Park and Busey Woods These parks play host to 36 species of warblers every spring as well as large numbers of vireos, thrushes, orioles and tanagers. Greg provides a photographic tour through both spring and fall migrants in the parks.
