Busey Woods Bird Walk Report
Spring 2010 birdwalks begin March 7

Bird walks are held on Sunday mornings during the spring and fall migration seasons: March-May & September-October. We meet at the Anita Purves Nature Center parking lot, 1505 N. Broadway, Urbana, at 7:30 AM. Walks in the nearby woods usually last about 1 1/2 hours. Anyone is welcome!

See a count summary for the bird walks this season, as reported by Beth Chato. (COMING SOON)

See Greg Lambeth's Oct 1, 2009 presentation about the birds of Crystal Lake Park and Busey Woods These parks play host to 36 species of warblers every spring as well as large numbers of vireos, thrushes, orioles and tanagers. Greg provides a photographic tour through both spring and fall migrants in the parks.

For pictures from the walks, go to Greg Lambeth's website and click on "Busey Woods 2007." http://web.mac.com/gregorylambeth/iWeb/Site/Welcome%20.html.
